I Hate Glossy Screens. I love Power Support.

So, I took delivery of a shiny new white MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.0 last week. I bought it in preparation for WWDC, since no self-respectin' Mac developer would show up with a crummy Dell.

My plan is to use it for the conference and probably sell it soon after. You see, I am secretly hoping that my dream 13 or 12" MacBook Pro will be announced by Steve on Monday. I took it to work and began switching over my work dev. environment to OS X. Since I had not yet bought a DVI adapter, I was forced to use the very very glossy 13.3" screen all day. Ouch. The reflections and the crazy high contrast ratio caused ridiculous eye fatigue for me. I searched the "interwebs" and read various and sundry tales of how skeptics learned to love the glossy display -- NOT ME. Even when using it as my secondary monitor, my eyes were begging for mercy...

Salvation: Power Support's Anti Glare Film! I read some positive posts from Sony SZ owners using them and saw some impressive before and after pics. Essentially, the Power Support product provides the finish that Apple should make optional on these little MacBooks. It's a flexible, self-clinging film that fits perfectly on your screen. The difference is nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend it. For 25 bucks, this product solved my only major gripe with this laptop. Superb.

PS: If you are having trouble finding them in stock, JR carries them too.
These are my before and after pics. Note that not only are the two large yellow reflections subdued and dispersed, but most other reflections are gone completely.

I'm sure that the pics are striking, but I can't see them because there is too much glare on my screen...lol.

I still say sand blasting your screen would have been cheaper!
